UNEMPLOYMENT IS RISING AMONG SWEDISH LAWYERS
In the past year, unemployment among Swedish lawyers increased. Graduates are expected to suffer most from bad times. At the same time it will be even harder to make a career in business law firms.
Recently, Realtid.se wrote about cutbacks in the lawyer industry and highlighted the dismissal of international giants as Clifford Chance.
Only yesterday, it appeared that 1300 within the legal sector in the U.S. lost their jobs last month.
Linklater's London office has previously announced that 270 posts will be removed.
The Swedish giant Manmheimer Swartling has previously announced that the agency will cut back by 30 people.
On Friday Anders Heintze, Director of Setterwalls Gothenburg Office, also said that the agency waits to hire associates and focusing instead on the trainees in 2009. (Relatid)
